Network Engineer
Light Grid is Hiring a VOIP Installer/Network Engineer to work in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a short-term assignment that ends in January 2027. US Citizenship is Required.
3 years experience required.
ResponsibilitiesThe Network, VoIP install is responsible for installing VoIP phones within the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role supports the deployment of VoIP phones, shifting Analog phones to VoIP phones. Requirements are to identify Analog phones to shift to VoIP phone system, tracing phone lines, resolving connectivity issues, and implementing improvements that align with new VoIP infrastructure.
The position is essential for maintaining reliable communication across the U.S. Air Force Academy sites.
- System Migration - Operational Trunk Migration
- Call Recording for Secondary Crash, System Migration - Phone Services, and Optional Decommissioning
- Physical PRI Circuit Rehome
- Deploy VoIP network phones
Introducing phones and ensuring network performance reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems, and hardware failures
Maintain network documentation of deployed VoIP phones (confirm via CAIRS tool)
Required Experience- Understanding of VoIP Communications
- Understanding of LAN/WAN, VoIP environment and routing protocols
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Must be a US Citizen. Ability to pass security background check to access military facility
