Junior Network Operations Center Technician Student Worker; Federal Study Eligible students

Position: Junior Network Operations Center Technician Student Worker (Federal Work Study Eligible Regent University students Only)
Essential functions:

* Monitor network performance and availability using various monitoring tools

* Monitor Help Desk tickets related to networking systems and services

* Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference

* Assist in the identification and resolution of network incidents and issues

* Collaborate with senior technicians to escalate complex issues

* Participate in routine maintenance and system updates as required

* Maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes

Additional Responsibilities:

* Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP

* Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems

* Familiarity with VMware, and backup operations

* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

* Understanding of network monitoring and backup tools and methodologies

* Basic knowledge of network configuration and management

* Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

* Willingness to assist with projects outside of normal business hours

* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
