MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Windows Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA
. This position is onsite.
- Report directly to the Project Manager and supports execution in a matrix organization
- Building and managing Windows Server environments to include configuring organizational units (OUs) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to align with organizational requirements and security standards
- Configuring AD Server Roles such as Certificate Authorities (CAs), IIS, File/Print, and DNS
- In-depth understanding of Active Directory (AD) Attributes, LDAP Queries, and Power Shell scripting for modifying AD configurations
- Supports the growth of the network enclave in capability, capacity, and user base, as well as demands for network improvements
- Analyzes and optimizes configurations, architecture, to improve performance
- Installs, upgrades and troubleshoots Windows and Windows support systems across the enclave
- Support a team environment based on mutual respect and teamwork, dedicated to innovation and effective, efficient work practices
- Masters degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 9+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with a combination of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), IIS, and Group Policy
- Experience with a combination of Power Shell scripting, Active Directory, SCCM, HBSS, Windows Update Services (WSUS), and Exchange Servers
- Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V)
- Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications (ex. Linux, Windows, VMWare)
- IAT‑II level at a minimum in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2 and DoD 8140/8570. (ex. Comp Tia Sec+)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with the United States Navy preferred
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks
- Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
- Must have a current and active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain SAP access.
- Up to 25% travel anticipated.
- Work will require movement from Government site to/from MANTECH site for client meetings and support functions.
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co‑workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, or virtual communication, which involve delivering presentations.
