Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in designing, planning, and implementing secure cloud migrations and adopting new cloud technologies to support business and project needs. This role focuses on multi‑cloud environments, infrastructure migration methodologies, and scalable, reliable cloud‑based, multi‑tenant solutions across AWS, GCP, Azure, and other providers.

• Build cloud instances based on system and mission requirements.
• Develop IaC methodology to define and implement on‑prem and cloud infrastructure components such as physical hardware, virtual machines, storage, core roles, and network configurations.
• Utilize IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and AWX to provision and manage infrastructure across multiple platforms.
• Implement standardized configurations, best practices, and automation for infrastructure deployments, ensuring scalability, security, and consistency.
• Integrate IaC code with CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, updates, and maintenance during development and deployment cycles.
• Ensure seamless and consistent infrastructure management across development, test, and production environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to facilitate smooth infrastructure provisioning as part of the development lifecycle.
• Research, design, install, configure, and deploy platform products in high‑availability infrastructure to support all products and applications.
• Deliver cloud solutions, both IaC and PaaS, that enable the business to run sensitive workloads securely within a cloud environment.
• Create and install cloud computing solutions in accordance with user requirements.
• Automate cloud system operations to enhance efficiency and speed.
• Develop, establish, and implement modular cloud‑based applications.
• Resolve technical issues and document them.
• Develop strategies for enhancing the performance of existing cloud technology.
• Maintain applications and infrastructure for cloud‑based platforms.
• Train IT team members in different cloud computing technologies.
• Create instructions for cloud computing operations and documentation.
• Maintain, update, and refine documentation.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud‑based systems.

• Microsoft Certified Expert in the Azure product line
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or above

• 3‑5years of hands‑on experience on leading cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) developing and implementing service models (IaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Designing and implementing IaC solutions using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with container platforms such as Docker and Open Shift, and with emerging technology stacks.
• Experience with infrastructure and platform automation technologies and tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and cloud‑specific services.
• Experience building and operating financial control and analysis systems (cloud cost analysis, show‑back, charge‑back).
• Understanding of cloud resource tagging and cost‑optimization recommendations.
• Mentoring and coaching colleagues, seeking continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working in cross‑functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Skill in creating and maintaining project plans in a multi‑cloud environment.
• Good understanding of software development and integration at the SaaS and IaS levels.
• Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles and integration of data from multiple sources.
• Technical leadership in platform services, cloud computing, and advisory to decision‑makers.
• Awareness of emerging cloud capabilities and development of technical domain roadmaps.

U.S. citizenship required. Must hold a current active SECRET clearance.
