SAIC has an immediate opening in Virginia Beach, VA (Dam Neck Naval Base) for a Cryptologic Information Technology System Administrator. The role performs system administration and maintenance on cryptologic systems used in a training environment. This full‑time position is located in Virginia Beach and includes support to other training locations, primarily virtual but may involve traveling to Jacksonville, FL;
Pensacola, FL;
Everett, WA;
Pearl Harbor, HI; and Yokosuka, Japan. Travel is anticipated to be less than 10%. The system administrator may be required to respond to trouble calls outside of normal working hours, although this is not common and is typically scheduled in advance.

• Maintain and perform system administration on tactical cryptologic systems and associated hardware and software used in a training environment.
• Perform system software loads, updates, and security patches to maintain system security accreditation.
• Work with training site personnel to set up and prepare systems and equipment for training, including creating user accounts, analyzing and archiving audit logs, and resetting the system to a default operating posture in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support to restore equipment to full operation when hardware and software faults arise.
• Analyze, configure, and maintain servers, including multiple virtual workstations and servers networked across separate subnets and utilizing different operating systems (Linux, ESXi, Solaris 10, and Windows).

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; or 4 additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Two years of experience in Navy TCS (SSEE INC E, SSEE INC F, CCOP Systems) or with complex IT systems involving integration, analysis, system administration, troubleshooting, setup, and operation of virtual and non‑virtual computers in advanced network configurations.
• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 certified; willing to obtain and maintain DoD Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) certifications, including CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Linux+ (or equivalent OS certification). Must obtain within four months of hire date.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team supporting local training command requirements as well as higher‑ echelon objectives and initiatives.

Target salary range $80,001 – $120,000.
