Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Network Admin to join one of our clients in Virginia Beach, VA. The Network Administrator – Nightwatch ensures 24/7 network availability. Working within the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC), you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-classification LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure. This position follows a Panama shift schedule (6 PM–6 AM), rotating long and short weeks to provide continuous coverage.
There will need to be a willingness to work evening, night, and weekend shifts, What you will do
• Maintain uninterrupted operation of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPN).
• Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation or reconfiguration of data and voice communication hardware/software.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues—WAN circuits, equipment failures, router/switch configurations, firewall access control lists, VoIP device registration, and cryptographic device keying.
• Coordinate with Navy, DISA, and commercial carriers for circuit implementation and fault resolution.
• Ensure Information Assurance compliance through IOS upgrades, device configuration changes, and firewall ACL verifications.
• Monitor network performance and conduct short- and long-range capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Propose cost-effective network design enhancements based on current usage and future requirements.
• Coordinate third-party maintenance and restoration support at remote sites.
Compensation: $43/hr to 48/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start day 1 of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
