Software Integration Engineer, Engineer Systems

• Integrate software applications across Windows and Linux operating systems
• Analyze system and application requirements for compatibility and interoperability
• Develop integration plans, workflows, and deployment and validation documentation
• Configure and test application components across target environments
• Troubleshoot software dependency, OS configuration, and network integration issues
• Collaborate with development, systems, and network teams
• Implement and maintain automation tools for integration and deployment
• Support version control, configuration management, and cross-platform environment consistency
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, and compliance requirements
• Provide technical guidance on cross-platform integration strategies
• Conduct integration testing and system verification in lab environments and aboard ship as required
• Provide on-site support during installations, upgrades, and acceptance testing
• Perform related duties supporting project and organizational needs

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a DoD Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification or higher within 3 months of hire if not currently held
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must hold a current or active DoD Secret clearance
• Experience integrating, configuring, and troubleshooting software across Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux command-line environments and administrative tools
• Working knowledge of C++ and Java for debugging, log analysis, and integration troubleshooting
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development workflows
• Experience with system interfaces, message handling, and software interoperability
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues across application layers, OS environments, and networks
• Experience with automation tools or scripting for integration and deployment
• Preferred:
  Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related technical field
• Preferred: IAT Level II certification or higher
• Preferred:
  Experience integrating training systems, modeling and simulation systems, or Navy combat systems
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with Jira, Git Lab, CI/CD pipelines, virtualization, and containerization technologies (Docker/Podman)
• Preferred:
  Exposure to U.S. Navy training environments or other mission-critical platforms
• Preferred:
  Experience with Jira and Subversion

Demonstrates expertise in integrating and troubleshooting software applications across Windows and Linux operating systems, with a strong focus on automation tools, version control, and compliance requirements. Capable of providing technical guidance and conducting integration testing in diverse environments.
