Housekeeping Supervisor

• Plan, organize, and evaluate Housekeeping functions. Schedule and supervise Housekeeping staff. Conduct routine inspection of building to ascertain cleaning needs. Assign work; establish deadlines; evaluate progress and quality of work.
• Train and orient staff; ensure all Housekeeping protocols and procedures are followed in accordance with established health, hygiene, and appearance policies and regulations (including safety and risk management).
• Administer employee policies and procedures. Develop, maintain and periodically update written policies and procedures and job descriptions. Orient staff and train on policies and procedures.
• Coordinate projects; maintain records of all project work completed.
• Manage inventory of Housekeeping supplies, equipment, and materials; recommend necessary capital equipment enhancements or improvements.
• Schedule maintenance on all cleaning equipment.
• Develop and implement a department-wide quality assurance program.
• Prepare monthly reports, complete required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor.

• The position reports to the Executive Director and is expected to perform without close supervision and exercise good judgment. The position supervises, directs, and reviews the work of associates in the Housekeeping department.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• At least three (3) years of progressively responsible, related work experience required.
• On a daily basis, throughout the workday:
  Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, balancing and maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling, reaching over the head, pushing/pulling, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and exert up to 50 pounds of force unassisted.
