A fast-growing hospitality group is seeking a high-impact District Manager to lead a collection of quick-service restaurants in the Hampton/Norfolk/VA Beach area
, which is expanding in popularity. This group currently operates multiple locations with an aggressive development plan to open eight additional stores in the area. This is a rare opportunity to join a private ownership group at a pivotal growth stage, with potential to move from a multi-unit GM/DM structure into a true Director of Operations capacity as the portfolio expands.
The ideal candidate is a field-based leader who thrives in the restaurants rather than behind a desk. This role is designed for a "builder" who can stabilize current operations, implement rigid accountability, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive brand recognition and same-store sales growth. For a leader who can deliver measurable results in labor productivity and food cost control, the group offers a pathway to increased compensation and potential future equity as the brand scales across the region.
PositionResponsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Own day-to-day performance across all locations, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, food quality, and guest experience.
- Financial Oversight: Manage store-level P&L, driving labor productivity, food cost control, and monitoring controllable expenses against budgets.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop General Managers; foster a culture of urgency, hospitality, and accountability while reducing team turnover.
- Sales Performance: Partner with store leadership and marketing to drive same-store sales growth through upselling, catering, and community engagement.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide weekly performance updates using KPIs to drive conversations; identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
- 3–7+ years of multi-unit management experience within the QSR or Fast-Casual sectors.
- Proven track record of managing P&L, including successful labor and food cost control.
- Strong background in people development with the ability to hire, onboard, and retain high-performing management teams.
- Experience working with franchise brands to meet and exceed brand standards.
- Residence in or willingness to travel regularly between Chesapeake, Williamsburg, and the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area.
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $105,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus: 20% of annual salary based on performance target
