Welder Position

Our partner is seeking multiple skilled and experienced welders to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding and blueprint reading, with a strong commitment to quality and safety. As a full-time welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications and blueprints in a factory environment.

This is a full-time position and two shifts are offered. First shift is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Second shift runs four ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 5 pm to 3:30 am. Overtime is available, but not required.

• Perform MIG welding on various metals and alloys, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to understand project requirements
• Set up welding equipment, including power sources, wire feeders, and shielding gas systems
• Select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials based on job specifications
• Fabricate metal components and structures according to blueprints and engineering specifications
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements
• Perform necessary repairs or modifications to existing metal structures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
• Collaborate with other team members, including fabricators, engineers, and quality control personnel
• Troubleshoot welding equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development to stay current with industry advancements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred
• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a professional welder
• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and equipment
• Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of various metals and their properties
• Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME)
• Experience with other welding processes (TIG, Stick) is a plus
• Valid welding certification(s) preferred
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
