Molding Machine Operator

$17–$19/hour + Overtime Opportunities
Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Molding Machine Operator to support daily molding and casting operations. In this role, you’ll set up molds, operate equipment, and ensure high-quality production standards are met. This is a great opportunity for candidates with hands‑on manufacturing experience who enjoy troubleshooting and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up molds, dies, and tooling for injection molding or ceramic casting
- Operate molding machines and monitor cycle times
- Adjust basic machine parameters to maintain product quality
- Troubleshoot common defects (short shots, flashing, incomplete fills, surface issues)
- Perform routine mold and die maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, minor adjustments)
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, consistency, and quality standards
- Record production data, mold changes, and process adjustments
- Communicate equipment or material issues with supervisors and maintenance teams
- Experience with injection molding, ceramic casting, or similar processes
- Knowledge of mold setup, alignment, and clamping procedures
- Ability to identify and resolve common molding defects
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read work instructions and basic technical drawings
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with blow molding, plastic molding, or extrusion
- Experience performing machine changeovers
- Experience in manufacturing or production line operations
- Work for a U.S.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
