Molding Machine Operator

$17–$19/hour + Overtime Opportunities

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Molding Machine Operator to support daily molding and casting operations. In this role, you’ll set up molds, operate equipment, and ensure high-quality production standards are met. This is a great opportunity for candidates with hands‑on manufacturing experience who enjoy troubleshooting and working in a fast-paced environment.

• Set up molds, dies, and tooling for injection molding or ceramic casting
• Operate molding machines and monitor cycle times
• Adjust basic machine parameters to maintain product quality
• Troubleshoot common defects (short shots, flashing, incomplete fills, surface issues)
• Perform routine mold and die maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, minor adjustments)
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, consistency, and quality standards
• Record production data, mold changes, and process adjustments
• Communicate equipment or material issues with supervisors and maintenance teams

• Experience with injection molding, ceramic casting, or similar processes
• Knowledge of mold setup, alignment, and clamping procedures
• Ability to identify and resolve common molding defects
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read work instructions and basic technical drawings
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with blow molding, plastic molding, or extrusion
• Experience performing machine changeovers
• Experience in manufacturing or production line operations

• Work for a U.S.
  
  -based manufacturer supporting critical utility infrastructure

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
