Manufacturing Process Improvement Manager
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Process Improvement Manager to lead continuous improvement initiatives across production and operations. This leadership role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, optimizing processes, and building a culture of operational excellence using Lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement programs aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and process improvement initiatives.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement sustainable improvements.
- Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement tools and best practices.
- Work closely with production teams to implement process changes.
- Track KPIs and present improvement results to leadership.
- Drive labor efficiency through process optimization and workflow improvements.
- Support multiple shifts as needed and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in engineer-to-order, fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or similar operations preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, and change management.
- Experience leading measurable process improvement projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Walk and work throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Stand, bend, and move frequently during improvement activities.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in both office and production environments.
- Flexibility to support multiple shifts when required.
