Welder II & III - 2nd Shift

Location:

Virginia Beach, VA Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire | Onsite

Pay: $24.00-$32.00/hour + 15% Shift Differential

Looking for a welding opportunity with higher earning potential? We're hiring Welder II and Welder III professionals for 2nd Shift at a growing manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach. This is a full-time, onsite position offering competitive pay, a 15% shift differential, overtime opportunities, and the potential to convert to a permanent employee.

What You'll Do
  • Perform MIG, TIG, wire, spot, and oxy/acetylene welding.
  • Fabricate and assemble structural components including frames, I-beams, fuel tanks, and welded assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Set up materials and equipment for fabrication, assembly, and repairs.
  • Use grinders, sanders, and other hand tools to finish welds and prepare materials.
  • Inspect completed welds and perform repairs or rework as needed.
  • Assist with pressure testing, quality inspections, and final product verification.
  • Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Experience with MIG welding required; TIG experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong measuring, layout, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Vocational welding training preferred.
  • MIG welding certification preferred.
  • TIG certification is a plus.
