Position Summary

Position Summary

The Material Handler keeps production running by managing material flow, replenishing mini-markets, and completing accurate inventory and WIP transactions. This role executes inventory and WIP transactions to Quick Books, maintains accurate mini-market replenishment, and ensures production has the components required to operation without interruption.

Essential Functions
  • Fill empty bins from production, return them to designated locations, and restock mini-markets with required components
  • Perform accurate Work-In-Progress movements and transactions in Quick Books inventory systems
  • Transfer raw materials, components, and finished goods between warehouse, production, quality, and engineering areas
  • Monitor component stock levels, identify shortages, and communicate replenishment needs to prevent production delays
  • Maintain organized and properly labeled bins in the mini-markets and production lines, ensuring all bins have the correct quantities and part numbers
  • Complete all required inventory moves in Quick Books with accuracy to support inventory integrity
  • Perform routine cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and support reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Coordinate closely with assembly line workers and production supervisors
  • Remove trash, maintain clean aisles, sweep, and support 5S standards across the warehouse and production areas
  • Assist with receiving, shipping, put-away, pallet organization, and other daily warehouse tasks as needed
  • Adhere to plant safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned by Logistics Supervisor or designated representative
Essential Skills And Experience
  • Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling environment
  • Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products
  • Basic understanding of math with the ability to count inventory
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to follow established processes.
Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience
  • Familiarity with kanban and mini-market systems, or lean manufacturing
  • Experience with WIP transactions, component staging, or production support roles
  • Prior work in regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environment

Working hours are an 8-hour shift between 6:00 am to 5:00 pm EST., Monday through Friday; 8-hour shift with occasional overtime and weekend hours may be required. The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA. Work conditions may include elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to some mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.

The employee may be required to wear safety glasses and possibly hearing protection, as well as proper grounding equipment to eliminate the chance of electro-static discharge.
