Paint Assistant

SJS Executives, LLC seeks a Paint Assistant to support professional painting and coating projects for federal, defense, and commercial clients. The role includes preparing surfaces, mixing and staging paints, assisting with application using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, setting up and cleaning equipment, and maintaining safe, clean work areas. The Paint Assistant follows detailed work orders, supports senior painters, and adheres to strict safety, quality, and environmental standards while contributing to mission-focused, high-visibility projects with opportunities for skill growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and masking according to work orders and specifications.
• Mix, label, and stage paints, primers, and coatings under direction of senior painters.
• Assist with paint application using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment in industrial or commercial settings.
• Set up, maintain, and clean painting tools, spray rigs, and related equipment.
• Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental procedures, including handling of chemicals and waste.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store materials and equipment.
• Support quality inspections and touch-ups to meet project and client standards.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and meet project timelines.
