The Church of the Ascension is seeing a Minister of Social Justice (MSJ) who will empower the parish community to become formed in Catholic Social Teaching and to engage in the Church’s social mission. The minister will promote the ART of Justice and Peace (i.e. Act to meet immediate needs, Reflect on the underlying causes of social needs and on the Church’s teachings, and Transforms social structures.)
Requirements- Education:
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience - Familiar with Catholic Social Teachings
- Catholic in Good Standing
- Environment:
Office and Food pantry, must be able to lift groceries for clients and restock shelves in Food Pantry - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- 25 hours a week, normally Monday through Friday, some nights and weekends are required.
