Registered Nurse; RN Intensive Care Unit

Overview

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Virginia Beach, VA. This full‑time night shift (36 hours per week) position may be eligible for up to $20,000 sign‑on bonus.

The RN will provide competent nursing care using the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Duties also include coordinating care, teaching, health promotion, and working with multidisciplinary teams.

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred)
• Virginia RN License (Virginia or Compact/Multi‑State Eligible)
• Valid BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS in Critical Care/IMCU within 1 year of hire
• Minimum 2 years of RN critical care experience (recent ICU experience strongly preferred; not accepting new grads)

Shift: Third (Nights) – 36 hours per week
