Clinical RN Director
Physicians’ Surgery Center of Tidewater is seeking a Clinical Director to join our team. We are a busy, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center serving the Virginia Beach community and are proudly affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).

Job DescriptionThe Clinical Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical functions of the ASC. They ensure high-quality, patient-centered care; compliance with federal, state, and accreditor standards; and effective coordination among nursing, anesthesia, surgical, and support staff. The Clinical Director partners with the Administrator on budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Provide strong leadership, direction, and supervision to the clinical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Clinical
Experience:
Must have OR experience, perioperative experience preferred. - Clinical Oversight: Ensure that clinical operations run efficiently and safely. Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with all relevant healthcare regulations, certifications, and licensures. Ensure the surgery center complies with all state and federal laws and regulations.
- Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices in clinical care. Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop clinical staff, ensuring they meet all necessary qualifications and certifications.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the administrative team to manage the clinical budget effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and administrative staff to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
- Graduate of accredited nursing school
- Current RN license
- Proven experience as clinical director or other nursing leadership role
- Experience in clinical supervision and program management
- OR experience; perioperative experience preferred
