Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse who is committed to join our team and provide exceptional and compassionate care to residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, administering medications, monitoring resident conditions, and support the daily clinical needs of our residents.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of an RN and within the scope of LPN practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with facility policy.
  • Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
  • Work in partnership with nursing Admins team, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other team members to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Perform resident assessments and promptly report changes in condition to the supervising nurse or provider.
  • Document all care, assessments, treatments, and observations in accordance with regulatory and facility standards in the Point Click Care system.
  • Assist with care planning and ensure care is delivered according to individualized plans.
  • Provide wound care, and other nursing procedures as needed.
  • Maintain infection control standards and promote a clean, safe, and respectful environment.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff while showing patience and empathy.
  • Support and guide CNAs to ensure quality resident care and adherence to policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Virginia. CPR certification required upon hire or willing to obtain.

• Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

• Knowledge of long-term care practices, resident rights, and basic nursing procedures.

• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, turning, and assisting residents with mobility.

• Basic knowledge of personal care practices, infection control, and safety procedures.

• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition promptly and clearly.

• Ability to document care activities clearly, accurately, and in compliance with facility standards.

Additional Considerations

Previous nursing home, long-term care, or geriatric experience preferred but not required.
