Job Title

Part‑Time Certified Nursing Assistant (Direct Service Associate II)

Agency

Department of Veterans Services – J&C VCC

Pay

Hourly: $24.00–$27.00. Shift differentials: 2nd Shift (3 pm–11 pm): $3.00; 3rd Shift (11 pm–7 am): $2.00; weekends additional $1.00.

Shift Schedule

Available shifts: 7:00–15:00, 15:00–23:00, 23:00–7:00. Work 5 days a week and alternate weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
  • Take and record vital signs accurately.
  • Observe residents and promptly report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
  • Assist with mobility, repositioning, and transferring residents using proper body mechanics.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
  • Follow individualized care plans and document care activities clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, turn, and assist residents with mobility.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care practices, infection control, and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of long‑term care practices, resident rights, and basic nursing procedures.
  • Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately.
  • Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition promptly and clearly.
  • Ability to document care activities in compliance with facility standards.
