Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will play a critical role in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population. The RN will conduct thorough assessments, design and implement personalized care plans, administer medications and treatments, evaluate patient responses, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

Location & Work Shift

Virginia Beach, VA – Swing Shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments and procedures in accordance with protocols.
  • Monitor vital signs, document changes, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
  • Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments and post‑discharge care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other health‑care professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and adhere to evidence‑based protocols.
Qualifications & Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Additional life‑support certifications as required by clinical area:
    • Critical Care/Intermediate Care Unit – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
    • Emergency Care – ACLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
    • Oncology Care – Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/ONCC or approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.
    • Women’s Care – Perinatal departments;
      Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
    • Inpatient Pediatrics – PALS within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform competent level of nursing care using the nursing process.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of routine nursing procedures and scope of practice for RNs and LPNs.
