Practical Nursing Education Program Instructor

Tidewater Community College is seeking part-time Practical Nursing Education Program Instructors for the College's Beazley School of Nursing. Functional Responsibilities include providing instruction, supervision, and evaluation of student's performance in clinical and lab settings, supervising and evaluating groups of students in hospital or health care settings, maintaining a collaborative and positive relationship with the clinical site, other faculty, and staff, and meeting and communicating with students on a regular basis to provide academic feedback.

Required Qualifications include an Associates degree within nursing from a regionally accredited college or university, a current, unencumbered license as a registered nurse or multistate licensure privilege to practice nursing in Virginia, a minimum of five (5) years recent full-time, clinical experience as a registered nurse, and medical/surgical nursing experience. Additional Considerations include a Bachelor degree within nursing from a regionally accredited college or university, knowledge of, and experience with, proven teaching strategies that promote student success, and sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources.
