What You'll Do
Seeking an experienced Manager, Nursing Education (Professional Practice & Magnet Program) to join nursing leadership team. This highly visible leadership role will oversee nursing education, professional practice initiatives, diabetes education, and the organization's Magnet® redesignation journey. If you are a passionate nursing leader with Magnet experience, strong people leadership skills, and a desire to drive clinical excellence, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a lasting impact within one of the region's most respected health systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead all aspects of the Magnet® application and redesignation process
- Develop and manage organizational timelines, readiness efforts, and project plans
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the Magnet Program Office
- Educate, engage, and support leaders and staff throughout the Magnet journey
- Champion evidence-based practice, nursing research, innovation, and professional development
- Support shared governance structures and nursing excellence initiatives
- Lead strategic clinical programs and departmental projects
- Manage and develop a team of 7 direct reports, including nurse educators, diabetes educators, and an education specialist
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and engagement across a dispersed team
Qualifications Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License with Compact/Multi-State eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) AND Master's Degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of Acute Care Nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Nurse Supervisor, Nurse Manager, Nursing Education, or similar leadership role
- Experience working within a Magnet-designated hospital or health system
