6:30 AM–4:00 PM
Hours:
4 × 9.5-hour shifts / approximately 38 hours/week
Career Nation is seeking an experienced OR / Circulating Registered Nurse for a 17-week contract assignment at an ambulatory surgery center in Virginia Beach.
The position offers a consistent four-day daytime schedule and approximately 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities:- Serve as circulating nurse during surgical procedures
- Conduct and document required preoperative safety checks
- Prepare and maintain the operating-room environment
- Coordinate necessary equipment, instruments and supplies
- Assist with safe patient positioning and preparation
- Monitor and advocate for patient safety
- Complete required intraoperative documentation
- Participate in surgical counts and procedural time-outs
- Communicate with surgeons, anesthesia providers and surgical staff
- Assist with room turnover and efficient case flow
Candidates should have previous OR/Circulating RN experience and be comfortable working in an ambulatory surgery center.
Pediatric population is very small, and most are teenagers. Monday thru Thursday only.
