QA Technician Job Description

As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products by performing regular quality assessments on completed and outgoing products. Your role will involve rejecting products and materials that do not meet quality expectations, reading and understanding drawings and specifications, and examining functionality to ensure compliance with standards. You will also recommend improvements to the production process and document inspection outcomes.

Additionally, you will educate the production team on quality control concerns and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.

• Perform regular quality assessments on completed and outgoing products for shipping.
• Reject products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
• Read and understand drawings and specifications to comprehend product requirements.
• Examine functionality and compare the final product to specifications.
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Document inspection outcomes by completing initial reports and transferring to electronic records.
• Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
• Resolve and elevate quality-related issues in a timely manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a production environment.
• Certification or experience in quality control is preferred.
• Acceptable math and technical skills.

Work in a non-climate controlled environment with a schedule on the 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Virginia Beach, VA.
