Under the guidance of the Director of Dining Services, the Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for overall service for WCCB Dining Venues. Ensuring these areas are operating within established objectives, standards, policies and procedures. Utilizes the principles of FLIK Dining Services in the execution of daily operation. Manages the service teams through teamwork and empowerment in all dining areas. Must be committed to ensure a high level of dining excellence and customer satisfaction.

- Embrace FLIK Dining and Westminster-Canterbury community philosophy, and utilizes it as the foundation for managing Dining Venues and Team members.
- Work to ensure a quality and enjoyable dining experience for residents, guests and team members.
- Supervise Dining Room Team members in the performance of their duties. Make rounds and observes the service areas.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels – manages scheduling - and hiring, training, evaluating performance and handling disciplinary actions of Dining Team members in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
- Promote the professional growth and development of team members, and addresses opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct ‘Show Time’ stand‑up huddles before each meal period for all service team members to ensure that all departmental standards are being upheld.
- Circulate in all dining areas during meal periods to field resident/guest comments pertaining to service and food quality.
- Conduct and document weekly meetings with all service team members.
- Maintain excellent relations with all residents and develops close working relationships with Administration, and all team members throughout the community.
- Ensure that proper health and sanitation procedures and regulations are followed in all dining and kitchen areas.
- Coordinate and ensure that cash controls are in place in all dining areas where cash is handled.
- Coordinate and follow through with all resident special requests.
- Implement programs to improve service and enhance the satisfaction of the community to current and future residents.
- Ensure that the dining rooms are decorated appropriately for all holidays and special events.
- Maintain control over all tabletop and menu needs, communicating these needs to the Director of Dining.
- Responsible for "My Marketing Plan," "Superfood" and other dining special planning.
- Responsible for creating and printing of daily, weekly and monthly menus; counter top menu identifiers and resident/guest menus.
