Responsibilities
  • Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations.
  • Develops and promotes a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences through professional conduct and shared passion for gaming.
  • Ensure products are easy to see and buy, build sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, provide a clean, organized environment in which to shop, and grow guest loyalty and repeat business.
  • Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, and recommend additional items as appropriate.
  • Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; handle transactions with correct changes and issue receipts while maintaining high guest service standards.
  • Respond to guest questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote Game Stop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards).
