Job DescriptionAs an Assistant Branch Manager, you will partner with an experienced Havertys Manager while being groomed for promotion to Branch Manager, and the leadership of your own Havertys Furniture Store. You will deliver world‑class service to our customers while creating a professional experience for Team Members by removing obstacles, providing support, and ensuring that teams feel empowered. You will sharpen your management leadership skills by selling, coaching, training, merchandising, controlling inventory, and overseeing operations while advancing your career with one of the most respected names in retail, Havertys Furniture Inc.
Compensationand Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000 + bonus potential based on branch performance.

Required to work 5 days a week. Retail hours include nights and weekends: 10 am–7 pm Monday–Saturday and 12 pm–6 pm Sunday.
Responsibilities- Inspire team members to bring the vision of our customers' homes to life.
- Deliver outstanding customer experience with personalized design and quality furnishings.
- Represent the Havertys brand through polished communication, personal appearance, and professionalism.

- Promote complimentary design service.

- Retail sales management experience.
- College education preferred; high school/GED or equivalent required, or 1–3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
- Love for sales, creating happiness with customers, and building lasting relationships.
- Furniture and interior design experience is a major plus.
- Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Proven ability to motivate, influence, and inspire self and others.
- Computer literacy.
- Attention to detail and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Integrity, honesty, and leadership.

- 5‑day work week with nights and weekends.
- Occasional lifting of furniture items (may weigh 150+ pounds) using team lifting or tools.
- Maneuver effectively around gallery floor, stock room, and office.
- Prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and bending.
