We are hiring a Sales Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales organization. This strong Sales leader is responsible for the onboarding, training, management, and development of new sales professionals in our Junior Account Executive growth path. You will pilot and refine the sales development program in order to create a strong pipeline of future Account Executives for MSP.
This is a highly visible trusted development partner for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales excellence, talent development, and accountability for rep outcomes. This position is located on-site in beautiful Virginia Beach, VA. Compensation is based on previous experience and will also be tied to program success.
Key Responsibilities Coaching & Development- Provide consistent coaching, mentorship, and ongoing performance management to Junior Account Executives
- Conduct ride-along, customer visits, call reviews, pipeline inspection, and activity coaching to reinforce skills and drive growth
- Partner with Account Executives to establish daily, weekly, monthly, and annual success metrics, owning performance correction, addressing underperformance, and recommending promotion or corrective action when appropriate
- Partner with Human Resources and Sales Leadership to attract and assess early-career sales talent
- Serve as the primary manager for Junior Account Executives through onboarding, ramp, and progression toward full Account Executive readiness
- Identify traits, competencies, and experiences that correlate with top-performing Account Executives
- Own and formalize the sales onboarding experience for new hires, including:
- First-day and first-week activities for both local and remote hires
- Cultural integration and expectations setting
- Short-term performance indicators and expectations setting
- Implement and continuously improve sales training curricula in partnership with Aslan Training, Marketing, and Executive leadership team
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to develop engaging, relevant training content
- Leverage the Aslan methodology to deliver discovery, engagement, and consultative selling skills
- Ensure all training materials remain current, accurate, and aligned with business needs
- Analyze sales and training performance data to identify skill gaps and growth opportunities and take corrective action to improve individual and team performance
- Execute and plan training modules focused on:
- New Account Acquisition
- Wallet share expansion
- Cross-selling within new and existing customers
- Work closely with Virginia Beach-based Account Executives to pilot new training initiatives and growth strategies
- Support the EVP of Sales with sales meeting, training sessions, and annual industry events
- Act as a trusted partner to Sales Leadership while owning day-to-day performance, development, and readiness of Junior Account Executives
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and achievement
- Success metrics are tied to Junior Account Executive productivity and retention
- Account Executives demonstrate confidence in discovery, objection handling, and value-based selling
- High engagement and completion rates within current, relevant, and aligned LMS training modules
- Increased pipeline quality and early-stage opportunity conversion
- Seamless handoffs between recruiting, onboarding, training, and move into promotion
