Event Security | Part-Time | Sandler Center Performing Arts

The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non‑event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.50-$14.00.

• Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
• Perform all event and non‑event security duties as assigned
• Conduct building safety inspections (normally pre‑event and post‑event safety checks)
• Admit building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures
• Answer information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed
• Protect equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule
• Provide regular security functions within the arena and related areas prior to, during, and after all events
• Receive, record, and return all lost and found items according to established team procedures
• When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the facility
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Prior security experience preferred, but not required
• Able to work events as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR certification
• Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer‑focused attitude
