Security Officer Customer Care Patrol

Virginia Beach, VA

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology‑focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required by site policies, and assist with access control procedures for staff, guests, and/or deliveries.
• Support day‑to‑day operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and completing assigned reports related to security‑related incidents and/or patrol activities.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
