You are hired as a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA
. In this part‑time role you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and contribute to a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Friday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support badge and entry control processes in accordance with site protocols.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, daily activities, and policy concerns, and/or assist with investigations involving security‑related matters at the location.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
