As a Security Officer Armed Front Desk in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while helping manage visitor access, responding to security-related concerns, and communicating clearly with staff and guests.

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government office reception area by following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor entry activity, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and appointments as required, and issue visitor credentials in accordance with established procedures.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide general information, and maintain a professional, courteous front-desk presence.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required records while helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
