Painter

$15 - $18 per hour, commensurate with experience.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for a part-time position. As a Painter, you will primarily focus on performing painting, refinishing, and related tasks throughout the Founders Inn and Spa to ensure all surfaces maintain a high standard of appearance. This role supports the overall aesthetic upkeep of guestrooms, public areas, and exterior structures through regular maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects.

• Perform all painting and repainting tasks, including interior and exterior surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and taping as necessary.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, and structures using appropriate techniques.
• Repair and refinish drywall, woodwork, and other surfaces.
• Install and repair wallpaper and ceiling/wall textures including stucco.
• Conduct visual inspections to diagnose finish failure or damage and recommend solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; properly store all materials and supplies.
• Track and maintain adequate inventory of paint products and materials.
• Ensure all painting tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
• Collaborate with engineering or maintenance team on larger facility projects as needed.

• Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager or General Manager.
• Support overall maintenance team as needed, particularly during high-demand periods or emergencies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of One (1) years of professional painting experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, paint rollers, brushes, and spray guns.
• Experience with wall preparation, drywall repair, and texture matching.
• Ability to apply various finishes including stain, varnish, and lacquer.
• Experience with wallpaper installation and removal is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to match colors and finishes.
