Telecommunications Cable Installer (Hiring Immediately)

Location:

Virginia Beach, VA.

Salary: $24–$27 per hour.

You will work as a Full‑time Low‑Voltage Cable Technician with a team of experienced professionals, executing installations and maintenance of low‑voltage cabling systems (Cat5, Cat6, and Cat5/6) while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Plan, install, terminate, and test low‑voltage cable systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Cable Technician.
• Extensive knowledge of low‑voltage cabling, including Cat5, Cat6, and Cat5/6.
• Proven experience diagnosing and troubleshooting cable system failures.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding low‑voltage cabling.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in a relevant field is a plus.
