Duties to include:
* Perform manual labor to support the construction, repair, and maintenance of asphalt and concrete infrastructure.
* Frequently carries tools, equipment, and supplies to/from the job site by truck and by hand; assists with loading/unloading materials.
* Pour and finish concrete, and repair and/or install sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
* Assist in surface treatment of streets, such as patching potholes to provide a safe riding surface.
* Serves as a flagger to direct traffic around construction on the roadways.
* Assist with various Public Works projects and seasonal tasks as assigned.
* Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.
Position is ALPHA 1 and is required to work during all inclement weather (flooding, hurricanes, snow, etc.).
A pre-employment physical is required
