Plumbing Technician

Job Summary

Groundworks, a leading foundation repair and water management specialist, is hiring a Plumbing Technician.

• Perform residential and commercial plumbing service calls, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations.
• Evaluate customer plumbing situation, develop multi‑option proposals and estimates, and present them using the A-1/Groundworks Sales Methodology.
• Conduct camera inspections and respond to emergency plumbing situations.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing and piping systems and components in residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform projects and service tasks across domestic, sewer, gas, and hydronic systems, including copper soldering, pro press, brazing, PVC, cast iron, gas piping (black iron, Gastite CSST), and PEX.
• Replace boilers, chillers, and water heaters.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure safety and readiness.
• Apply knowledge of plumbing code in all activities.
• Prepare and deliver written documentation and support materials.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations to resolve plumbing and piping issues.
• Enforce a safety‑focused culture in all tasks.
• Work on an on‑call and weekend shift schedule, including a 5‑day work week with 1–2 on‑call assignments per month.
• Attend work on time and maintain reliable attendance.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential plumbing.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
• Proficient with basic hand and plumbing tools.
• Experience using home and commercial software such as Service Titan.
• Preferred yet not required licenses or certifications:
  Master Plumber, Journeyman Plumber, Backflow Tester, Leak Detection.
• Strong ability to interpret technical information and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong sense of urgency and problem‑solving skills.

Position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and climbing frequently. Requires good manual dexterity, two‑hand coordination, and stamina to perform strenuous physical labor. Excellent vision and ability to read reports and data on computer screens.
