Elite Contracting Group is looking for a Journeyman Electrician in our VA Beach, VA location to join one of Virginia’s fastest‑growing full‑service security solution integration companies. The ideal candidate will primarily work on electrical, technology installations, CCTV, and access control installations in various environments throughout Virginia.
Responsibilities And Duties- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain raceways, wiring, and equipment for electrical systems, access controls, intrusion detection, and other systems
- Inspect, test, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communications, and power circuits
- Identify, communicate, and isolate electrical hazards
- Perform all work following safety procedures; other duties as assigned
- Current Journeyman Electrician license
- Minimum two years experience in the electrical trade
- Experience working with voltages up to 480V
- Experience installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting/power systems
- Familiarity with electrical construction practices including threading, bending conduit, and pulling/removing wire
- Possess and maintain a DCJS Registration
- Position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day; frequent lifting and moving items over 50 pounds
- Occasional in‑state travel
- Relocation not offered for any position
