Full‑time, Day shift, Monday–Friday8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Salary: $18.84–$23.55 per hour. Travel: none. Position type:
Skilled Labor – Trades.

Position Summary

The Refurbishment Technician maintains all aspects of the physical plant, performing preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs, and building equipment and plumbing repairs under the direction of a supervisor. The role includes:

  • General maintenance duties such as fixing wall and floor covers, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and appliance repairs.
  • Painting and refurbishing projects directed by supervisor.
  • Routine preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Minor building and equipment repairs.
  • Prioritizing work based on supervisor instructions.
  • Assisting with snow removal during winter season as needed.
  • Routine maintenance on all assigned vehicles.
  • Maintaining work areas and equipment/tools in a neat, clean manner that meets safety standards.
  • When qualified, assisting the Director of Plant Services or performing work on HVAC, domestic water, refrigeration, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of building maintenance experience.
  • One year or more of apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance experience.
  • Renovation experience in painting (trim, walls, decks), carpentry (install/remove cabinetry, doors, walls, trim), drywall (repairs and new install), electrical (switches/outlets, light fixtures), plumbing (residential faucets, toilets, drains), flooring (carpet, tile, LVP).
  • Thorough understanding of building systems and their interdependence.
  • Current valid driver’s license suitable for vehicle size and state laws.
  • Strong professional communication, team collaboration, organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Positive attitude and self‑motivation.
