Concrete Carpenter / Form Carpenter
Are you an experienced concrete carpenter looking for steady work, overtime opportunities, and room to grow? We are seeking skilled Concrete Form Carpenters to join a hardworking construction team performing structural concrete work on commercial and industrial projects. WhatYou'll Do
As a Concrete Form Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork systems used to shape concrete walls and structural elements.
Responsibilities- Build, install, and remove concrete formwork for walls and other structural concrete components.
- Read construction drawings and perform accurate layout work using measuring tapes, framing squares, and other layout tools.
- Mark cutting and assembly lines and fabricate formwork to project specifications.
- Set, align, anchor, and brace concrete forms to ensure proper placement and structural integrity.
- Assemble and work with Symons form systems and other prefabricated formwork.
- Install embeds and hardware within forms according to project requirements.
- Construct concrete chutes and other supporting structures for concrete placement.
- Erect and safely work from scaffolding, ladders, and elevated work areas.
- Inspect forms before concrete pours to verify alignment, stability, and safety.
- Work closely with laborers, rebar crews, finishers, and other trades to support successful concrete placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Concrete Carpenter, Form Carpenter, or Carpenter working with structural concrete.
- Experience setting and aligning concrete forms for walls, foundations, or similar structures.
- Ability to read measurements and use common carpentry layout tools.
- Knowledge of form construction, bracing, and anchoring techniques.
- Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor construction environment.
- Reliable transportation and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience working with Symons form systems.
- Concrete construction experience involving rebar, framing, or finishing.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or civil construction projects.
Competitive pay: $18 - $28+/hour based on experience

- Typical schedule:
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday - Overtime and weekend work available based on project needs
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heights
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction-site environments
- Must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety guidelines

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
