Thermo Trol Systems Inc is seeking an Industrial Field Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation and industrial HVAC control systems. Working within our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team, you will perform field diagnostics, calibrate sensors and controllers, interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and complete startup and functional testing. You will interface with clients and project managers, document service activities, and support energy-efficient operation of facilities.

Responsibilities
- Install and wire building automation and HVAC control components in industrial and commercial facilities
- Commission, test, and tune BAS and HVAC control systems for proper operation and energy efficiency
- Troubleshoot field issues, diagnose faults, and perform corrective repairs or adjustments
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings and as-builts
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and controllers and verify control sequences
- Document service work, startup reports, and configuration changes accurately
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and maintenance teams to support project delivery
- Train end users on basic system operation and provide responsive on-site support
- Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and jobsite safety protocols
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance and support sustainability goals
Required Skills
- Building automation systems (BAS) configuration and troubleshooting
- Industrial HVAC controls and sequence of operations
- Low-voltage control wiring, termination, and panel work
- Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and control schematics
- Use of HVAC/BAS diagnostic tools (meters, gauges, laptops, software)
- PLC/DDC controller programming adjustments and parameter tuning
- Field commissioning, startup, and functional performance testing
- Industrial safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
- Technical documentation and service reporting
- Customer communication and field problem-solving
