Intermodal Logistics Coordinator job ginia Beach, VA.

To provide quotes and routes for inland container movements; secure rates; facilitate inland movement of containers via Rail, Truck, Barge; setting up invoices in SAP, transmitting rail bills.

• Provide accurate quotes/rates for intermodal freight, bids, and spot business.
• Support commercial efforts to maximize profitability by finding the most cost-effective and efficient routing for new and existing business.
• Recommend changes in routing when alternate routes are preferred.
• Negotiate rates with truckers for spot business and new routes.
• Update ZIMAPS quarterly and for missing costs as needed.
• Maintain routing and route preference order in IQ Ship. Create routes when auto routing is missing, expired, or not logical.
• Update costs in routes when missing.
• Manage changes to specific vendors/routing day-to-day as required.
• Execute & manage rail billings, and resolve problems as they arise.

• Optimize Inland Routing
• Timely response to Commercial Team Routing Requests
• Usage of least expensive trucker

Function:
Countries & Business Development

• High School Degree, Bachelor’s (a plus).
• 3 years’ experience preferred in various LOG operating positions.
• Logistics / Operation experience in Container Shipping industry (a plus).
