City of Virginia Beach is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator, Towing and Recovery to safely recover and tow city fleet vehicles. You will drive and load vehicles using wreckers and trailers, inspect equipment, perform minor repairs, and coordinate with staff after incidents.
Experience with all wrecker types (10, 16, 50 ton), CDL possession, and knowledge of safety regulations are essential. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring after-hours standby and potential emergency shifts.
