Customer Service/Warehouse Associate
Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an exceptional Customer Service/Warehouse Associate to provide customer service and warehouse support at a Counter top location. The role involves servicing walk‑in customers, completing sales transactions in conjunction with material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customer orders, and inventory checks. Daily use of forklift and/or crane equipment may be required.
Responsibilities- Wait for customers, assist in determining order requirements, answer inquiries, provide samples, and offer direction and selection assistance.
- Complete sales transactions and accept payments.
- Address and resolve customer complaints related to returns and order errors.
- Process payments and receipts, reconcile DSRs and cash box, prepare bank deposits, balance petty cash box, and prepare performance reports.
- Update customer master file and create vendor orders.
- Enter customer orders, create plant/RDC orders, and complete stock replenishment orders.
- Prepare sales slips and produce daily sales reports.
- Pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound order accuracy, conduct inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor products, maintain displays, move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
- Receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns, and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
- Operate crane forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and general office maintenance.
- Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules outlined in the Safety Program and reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and incidents to management.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience and warehouse experience.
- Forklift experience competencies.
- Organizational, mathematical, time‑management, computer, and detail‑oriented skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and safety consciousness.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance, speak, and hear. The employee must be able to lift up to 15–30 pounds regularly and may need to lift up to 70 pounds at certain times. Tile boxes or other material longer than 36 inches or weighing more than 70 pounds require a team lift.
