In this role you will help customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products, offering tax advice, full‑service return preparation, and troubleshooting of product or software inquiries. Your work will advance Intuit’s mission while meeting key performance metrics and contributing to pilot projects.
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide the right answer to the customer in everyday language.
- Interact with customers via state‑of‑the‑art video communications software.
- Assist Turbo Tax Business customers with tax advice, full‑service return preparation and signature, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions.
- Document all customer interactions and troubleshoot/issues according to defined practices and company policies.
- Work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws (at least 3 years preparing federal and state business tax returns for a minimum of 20 clients per season).
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience (at least 30 returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting).
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers is strongly preferred.
- Possession or ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
- Bay Area, California: $31.10 - $35.50
- Southern California: $31.10 - $35.50
- Colorado: $29.60 - $34.10
- Hawaii: $31.10 - $35.50
- Illinois: $29.60 - $34.10
- Maryland: $29.60 - $34.10
- Massachusetts: $31.10 - $35.50
- Minnesota: $26.60 - $33.80
- New Jersey: $31.10 - $35.50
- New York: $31.10 - $35.50
- Ohio: $26.60 - $33.80
- Vermont: $29.60 - $34.10
- Washington: $31.10 - $35.50
