About the Senior Revenue Accountant Role

The Senior Revenue Accountant will play a critical role on the revenue accounting team, supporting the accounting and reporting of complex customer contracts and project-based revenue streams. This position partners closely with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. The role is highly visible within the organization and offers the opportunity to contribute to key business decisions through accurate analysis and reporting.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage revenue recognition activities for customer contracts and consulting engagements
• Analyze project completion metrics and support percentage-of-completion revenue accounting
• Review and interpret contract terms to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate project billing and revenue reporting
• Support audit requests and compliance with accounting standards
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies within the revenue accounting function

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
• Experience with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, particularly related to consulting or project-based services
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Experience working with Net Suite
• Strong understanding of revenue accounting principles and financial reporting
• Ability to analyze contracts and apply appropriate accounting treatment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
