Vailes Brothers is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of our growing plumbing, HVAC, remodeling, and home services company. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll and accounting functions, and helping leadership make informed business decisions that drive company success.

As our Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist, you will manage a variety of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities that support daily business operations. Duties include processing payroll, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, performing bank and credit card reconciliations, maintaining financial records, preparing monthly financial reports, monitoring cash flow, assisting with job costing, coordinating financing documentation, supporting tax preparation activities, and helping ensure accurate year-end financial reporting.
You will work closely with leadership to maintain financial accuracy and support operational efficiency across multiple business divisions.
We are seeking candidates with at least five years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience. Strong Quick Books proficiency is required, along with experience processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing account reconciliations, and preparing financial reports. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills are preferred.
Experience working within construction, HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, home services, or other project-based industries is highly desirable. Candidates with job costing experience, multi-entity accounting experience, or familiarity with service industry accounting practices are strongly encouraged to apply.
