Accountant

We are looking for an accountant to join a manufacturing organization on a contract basis. This on-site opportunity is suited for an accounting specialist who can manage core accounting activities, support accurate financial reporting, and work effectively in a busy operational environment. The role offers the chance to contribute across several accounting functions while partnering with the broader team to maintain reliable financial records.

THIS IS A FULLY ON-SITE ROLE.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including support for period-end close and review of account balances.
• Prepare, enter, and validate journal entries to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly and investigate variances to resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including account reconciliation and ongoing tracking of asset activity.
• Record and balance intercompany transactions to support accurate reporting across entities.
• Assist with financial reporting by compiling data, reviewing accuracy, and helping maintain strong accounting controls.
• Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to process accounting transactions and monitor financial activity.
• Analyze accounting data in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables to prepare schedules and reports.
• Contribute to special accounting assignments and help improve existing workflows and processes.
