Tax Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced CPA Tax Accountant to join their well-established, and growing team in Moon Township, PA.

The team brings more than 100 years of combined tax and accounting experience and serves individuals, entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations, and clients with more complex tax needs.

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Prepare tax returns for S corporations, partnerships, C corporations, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations.
• Research and resolve complex tax issues and compliance questions.
• Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with multi-state tax filings and other state and local tax matters.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with tax controversy and resolution matters.
• Develop proactive tax planning strategies for individual and business clients.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and communicate recommendations clearly to clients.
• Work with business owners on the tax implications of business decisions, acquisitions, growth, ownership changes, and other significant transactions.
• Assist clients with estimated taxes, entity structure, retirement planning considerations, and other tax-related decisions.
• Stay current on federal and state tax law changes and communicate relevant developments to clients and the internal team.
• Assist clients with accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting needs.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist business owners with accounting systems, including Quick Books.
• Analyze financial information to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
• Provide accounting and business consulting services as appropriate.

• Develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
• Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive point of contact for assigned clients.
• Meet with clients to understand their financial and business objectives.
• Explain tax and accounting concepts in straightforward, understandable terms.
• Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to provide additional value.
• Collaborate with other members of the Imperial Tax team to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.

• Active CPA license.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with a strong tax focus.
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns.
• Experience with S corporations, partnerships, and closely held businesses, and multi-state taxation.
• Experience with Quick Books and accounting software.
