The Events Coordinator at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center is hired and paid directly by Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center, Inc., a private, non-profit 501c3 corporation.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of the Event Coordinator will be all aspects of guest experience including coordinating and recruiting user groups, creating event schedules, space setup, coordinating staff needs, and completing relatable paperwork in a timely manner. The Events Coordinator also assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of youth and adult educational programs.
Duties- Answering/returning phone calls and emails in a timely matter, providing detailed information and answering questions.
- Maintain center calendar, scheduling groups to fill the Center as the schedule allows.
- Organize, complete, and distribute paperwork (i.e. Reservations Forms, Invoices) in a timely manner.
- Maintain current user groups and recruit new ones as the calendar allows.
- Work directly with other Center staff to coordinate and prepare for on-site needs of the groups. (i.e. kitchen, maintenance, housekeeping)
- Assist with programming implementation when necessary.
- Will work directly with the NRE Coordinator and Program Director to coordinate and prepare for on-site and off-site programming, as well as serve in an instructional staff capacity when necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in education; communication, event planning, hospitality, recreation, parks, and tourism, environmental sciences, or a related field and/or have work experience which relates to the responsibilities listed below.
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, and/or recreation and scheduling and logistics
$40,000 annual salary paid every other week
- Annual leave accumulated at a rate of 8 hours per month
- Sick leave accumulated at a rate of 10 hours per month. Sick leave may be used for personal sickness, injury, or family member emergencies according to the 4-H Center policy. Sick leave has no monetary value, but can be cashed in upon departure at a rate of $10.00 per day for up to 10 days.
- All state holidays are given to employees
- $300 health stipend monthly paid directly to employee.
Office hours are 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to keep regular office hours and schedule alternate work schedules with the Center Director. Professional 4-H Center employees sometimes work more than a 40-hour workweek. Again, the employee will alternate on-duty weekends with other professional staff. Compensatory leave is offered.
